  Came in to have service moved to a new phone I purchased elsewhere. After handing over my phone which was literally fresh out of the box the associate immediately placed it screen down on the table and slid it over a short distance. Boom, deeper scratch in my brand new phone with gorilla glass 4 than my previous phone ever got after 2 years. The box contents and case were right there as a safer surface to put it on, and of course the option of placing it on its back, but no it's just a customers device and we didn't even sell it so who cares. So for thinking I'd just take the more convenient route of going to the store for activation I get the privilege of having my new screen scratched and getting a sales pitch for totally unrelated third party security and TV service that I didn't want. Better make sure you put a screen protector on before you bring your phone in, or buy one ahead of time and open the box yourself in the store if you get your phone here since the associates are apparently pretty cavalier toward your multi hundred dollar investment. Yet another reason to just skip the store and sign up for something like Google Fi.
